A super-short overview today, focusing on a few ongoing issues:
Ebola
Sadly more than 3200 people have now died, and the UN is warning of a funding crisis while the disease continues to spread rapidly.
Please pray that the disease would slow down, and that the funding would be made available to tackle this disease.
Gaza/Palestinians
Several people have been wounded following Israeli strikes on homes in Gaza.
Please pray for protection upon the Palestinians
Iran War
US and Iran escalate tanker attacks in biggest wave of strikes since start of the war
Please continue to pray for peace to spring forth in this conflict
As if Nepal has not seen enough recently, it was struck by a 5.3 magnitude earthquake.
Please pray for minimal discomfort to arise from this.
Please also pray for ongoing search and rescue efforts as nearly 8000 Nepal police personnel are deployed in a rescue mission
Ukraine War, Lithuania
Amongst the usual war and fury between Russia and Ukraine, a striking headline today is that Lithuania is preparing its citizens for the possibility of fighting Russia. Unlike Ukraine, Lithuania is a full member of NATO and has been since 2004.
Please pray for this war to be over, soon, before NATO members like Lithuania, Poland etc can be dragged in, potentially dragging in the full war machinery of NATO and prompting a full-scale world war.
